Professional kitchens taught me mise en place: care for the tools, give everything a place, and make the next move easier. Beauty could live in a well-arranged shelf as readily as a finished plate.
Design gave that instinct a visual vocabulary. Hitchhike Socialite grew from the meeting of taste and usefulness—beautiful objects, real work, and room for a little absurdity.
